Tracing Your Roots To Gallipoli

Remembering some of the Bolton men who lost their lives in the Gallipoli Campaign of 1915

James Ritchie

James was the son of Thomas Ritchie and Mary C Ritchie.

He was living with his father at 184 Chorley Old Road, Bolton and working as a collier when he enlisted in the Army.

His Army medical examination recorded him as being 5' 7 1/4" tall.

His enlistment papers also list his siblings as Janet b.1898, Campbell b.1913 and Betty b.1915
