Tracing Your Roots To Gallipoli

Remembering some of the Bolton men who lost their lives in the Gallipoli Campaign of 1915

Thomas Warren

Thomas was the son of Thomas Warren b.1861 a labourer in an iron foundry and later at Horwich Loco Works and Mary Warren née McCarthy b. 1863.

Thomas first appeared on the 1901 Census living at 29 New Brunswick Street, Horwich with his parents and siblings Stephen b.1885, Mary Ann b.1887, Maggie b.1889, James Henry b.1881, Joseph b.1883, Martin b1889 and William b.1900.

In 1911 the family were living at 107 Lee Lane, Horwich although the eldest brother, Stephen was no longer living at home.

Thomas was by this time working as a labourer at Horwich Loco Works.
