Tracing Your Roots To Gallipoli

Remembering some of the Bolton men who lost their lives in the Gallipoli Campaign of 1915

Tom Fletcher Yates

Tom was the son of John Yates b.1861, a cotton warp dresser, and Mary Yates née Fletcher b.1864.

In 1901 Tom was living at 133 High Street, Little Lever with his parents and siblings Harry b.1886, David b.1892, Ethel b.1893 and Lewis b.1900.

By 1911 Tom was living at 102 Stand Lane, Radcliffe, Lancashire with his parents and siblings David, Ethel and Lewis. Harry appears to have died by this point along with two other children.

Tom was working as an apprentice iron fitter.
