Pte. THOMAS MAIR BROWN, Durham Light Infantry, was killed on April 25th. Formerly employed in the boot department of the Bolton Co-operative Society, he lived at 114 Hatfield-rd., Bolton. Aged 18, his name is on the Roll of Honour at St Barnabas’ Church.

His Army record describes him as 5' 6'' tall, flat feet, fresh complexion, brown hair and blue eyes.

His parents were James and Isabella Brown, also of 114 Hatfield Road, Bolton along with his brothers, James and William.
