Pte. CLIFFORD ELLIS, 20 Stanley-rd., was killed in France on August 19th. He went out on April 1st, just after passing his 19th birthday. He was for some years a Scout, first with the 3rd Bolton Troop, and afterwards with the 11th Bolton Troop connected with Chorley Old-rd. Congregational Church. He was a member of that church and his name is on the Roll of Honour. The 11th Bolton Troop were looking forward to the day when he would return to his position as Scout Master. He was employed at the Musgrave Spinning Co.
