Fitter JOHN LEVER (23), London Regt., of 53 Knowsley-rd., Smithills was killed on October 31st. Enlisting at the commencement of the war, he went to Egypt with the Bolton R.F.A. and saw service in Gallipolli and France. Last June he was transferred to the London Regiment. He was in the employ of Messrs. Dobson and Barlow's, and his name is on the Roll of Honour at Higher Bridge-st Church.

LEVER - Fitter JOHN LEVER (Jack), R.F.A., the beloved son of Thomas and Elizabeth Lever, 53 Knowsley-rd, Smithills was killed on Oct. 31st. 1918, after four years service. Deeply regretted.
