The Bolton Musical Guild has lost an esteemed member by the death of Sergeant FRANK TAYLOR, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, who is officially reported killed on August 11th. In civil life a side piecer with the Croal Spinning Co., Ltd., Deane-rd., he was a brother of the late Mr J. Taylor, formerly of the Hallé Orchestra, and as a violinist was recognized as a skilled performer. Only 22, the young N.C.O., who was unmarried, and resided at 15, Turk-st., joined the forces nearly two years ago, and attained the rank of sergeant whilst in the firing line. He was a regular attender at St. Margaret’s Church.
