Driver THOMAS WHISTON, R.F.A., was carrying ammunition when he was killed on the night of Sept. 23-24th. He was mobilized with the R.F.A. at the commencement of the war, and went to Egypt, but was subsequently transferred to another front. Aged 24, and single, he lived at 31, Waldeck-st., Bolton. He worked as a collier at Pretoria Pits in civil life, and his name is on the Rolls of Honour at Oxford Grove School and St. Luke’s Sunday School.
